Joint Academic Cooperation between the College of Tourism Sciences and the Karbala Center for Studies and Research

The Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Salam Jaafar Al-Asadi, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Director of the Karbala Center for Studies and Research of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Professor Abdul Amir Al-Quraishi. The agreement aims to enhance academic and research work aimed at developing religious tourism in Karbala and improving the level of its services.

The agreement focuses on achieving strategic objectives, including strengthening academic and research partnerships in various fields, such as student training and preparing strategic plans to develop the tourism sector, in addition to implementing joint educational and training programs to enhance the competence of personnel working in this field.

The memorandum also emphasized the role of religious tourism in supporting the city’s economic and social development by improving the visitor experience and enhancing its service infrastructure. This contributes to consolidating Karbala’s position as a leading global destination for religious tourism and enhances its social and economic stability
