Tourism helps achieve optimal utilization of natural resources and promotes their conservation and prevention of misuse, considering them a national treasure. Tourism planning also works to organize and modernize land use in a manner that achieves maximum benefit while paying attention to the environment and the aesthetic dimension of geographical features, whether natural or man-made. Its importance is highlighted through:
1- Preserving Urban Features
Tourism planning helps preserve public natural sites, such as developing natural environments and establishing parks, forests, and green areas. This is achieved through focusing on various agricultural activities, particularly aesthetically pleasing plants, as these are attractive elements for tourism.
2- Improving Environmental Quality:
Tourism planning provides scientific means to reduce environmental pollution by monitoring and following up on the components of the tourism environment. Good tourism planning also contributes to improving the aesthetic image of the environment through site coordination programs, appropriate structural designs, the use of signage, and building maintenance.
