The College of Tourism Sciences Organizes a Training Workshop on the Drug Phenomenon
The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit at the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala, organized a training workshop on the drug phenomenon. The workshop was presented by the Dean’s Assistants for Academic and Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Nadia Saleh Al-Waili and Dr. Karar Hadi Al-Jubouri.
The workshop, which targeted college students, included several topics, most notably an introduction to drugs, their types, the difference between them and psychotropic substances, and an examination of their negative effects on society. It also addressed the legal aspect of Iraqi law and the most prominent penalties associated with them.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the seriousness of the drug phenomenon and its negative effects on society, as well as explaining how to avoid it.
