The Department of Hotel Studies at the University of Karbala organizes a scientific trip to the Baron Hotel for second-year students

The Department of Hotel Studies at the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a scientific trip for second-year evening study students to the Baron Hotel, with the aim of providing them with practical experience and introducing them to the various aspects of hotel management.

For his part, Dr. Jaafar Al-Turahi, Head of the Department of Hotel Studies, gave a lecture on “Meetings and Conferences Management”, where he reviewed the most important concepts and skills necessary to organize events. Dr. Muntadhar Al-Hasnawi also gave a lecture on “Front and Back Offices” in hotels, focusing on the role of these offices in improving the guest experience.

On the other hand, Assistant Professor Sadiq Adel gave a lecture on “Persian Language” for its importance in the tourism and hospitality sector.

The hotel staff also introduced the students to the various departments of the hotel, and informed them about the types of rooms, Sonata, and Royal Suites. The distinguished services provided by the hotel to its guests were also discussed, which give it a competitive advantage compared to other hotels.

This trip is part of the ongoing efforts of the Hotel Studies Department at the University of Karbala to provide a practical and realistic learning environment for its students, and to introduce them to the latest hotel management methods.
