The Concept of Public Relations

The word “relations” in Arabic means the connection or association between two people, institutions, or different things. In the social and professional context, the word “relations” refers to connections and communication between individuals or institutions.
As for the field of public relations as a term, it refers to a set of activities and strategies that aim to build and strengthen relationships between an organization and its target audience, whether that audience is customers, investors, employees, or society in general. Public relations aims to enhance the organization’s reputation and achieve effective communication with the public.
In addition, the word “relations” is used in other contexts such as “work relationships” which means relationships between colleagues and managers, and “love relationships” which means emotional relationships between people. Relationships are an essential part of a person’s life and greatly affect the quality of his life and success in various fields.
Public relations is a field concerned with building and strengthening relationships between an organization and its target audience, whether that audience is customers, investors, employees, or society in general. Public relations aims to enhance the organization’s reputation and build a positive image for it in the media and society, and achieve effective communication with the target audience.
