The word tourism was mentioned in the Holy Quran in more than one verse, including what came in Surat At-Tawbah in the Almighty’s saying: (So travel freely in the land for four months) and it was mentioned in the text of the Surah itself (Those who repent, worship, praise, travel, bow, prostrate, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and observe the limits of Allah and give good tidings to the believers) and the word tourism in the Arabic language means traveling on the earth and from it the water flows and flows meaning its flow, so it is said the water flowed or ran and it came in the definition of the Arabic language as moving from one country to another in search of a walk, exploration and discovery and tourists either to seek knowledge or for work or for rest, as for the word tourism in the Latin language known as the word (Tourism) it is derived from the word (Tour).
