The Security Department is one of the most important departments of the hotel, independent in itself and working at the same time as one team with the rest of the departments, united among themselves through scientific foundations, practical methods and administrative methods. It has individuals and human resources specialized in dealing with problems and solving them through scientific training, supervision, experience and efficiency in work, and it has many duties and responsibilities.
The hotel is the second place of residence for a person far from his home, which provides him with his food and drink and helps him to fulfill his needs that necessitated his travel. The hotel employees are like his family and relatives who are vigilant and responsible for his service and safety regardless of their job, even if he is not a security officer. For example, there is no benefit in a cook who serves spoiled food if it does not meet the health and safety conditions. Therefore, instead of this meal giving the guest the necessary energy and strength to do his work, the result is the opposite, which is him sitting in his bed for a period of time until he recovers and exhausting the security and defense systems in the body to eliminate this disease. The same is the case when there is a specific defect in the hotel, which leads to intensifying the work of the security and safety department and making a greater effort in searching and investigating and wasting time and money to reach the truth and the solution. Hotel security is a goal that all possible means are used to achieve, huge amounts of money are spent on it, and a special budget is set for it to provide the best hotel services and hospitality in the required manner to meet the needs and desires of guests. Hotels play a major role in developing the tourism sector, thus supporting the national economy and giving a good and honorable reputation for the country and an honest and faithful impression and image of the nobility of its people and their welcoming nature towards its guests.a
