Tourism Promotion Functions

The tourist gets several functions from tourism promotion, which are:

Creating desire among the tourist: Promotional activities aim to reach consumers or tourists and address their feelings, so marketing men remind tourists of what they want and need from tourism goods and services.
Informing the tourist of everything related to the tourism product: Promotional means provide information to tourists about the new tourism product or service, including informing them of its prices, how to use it, and where it is available.
Achieving the tourist’s aspirations: Promotion simulates people’s hopes and aspirations for a better life. In other words, tourists feel that they are fulfilling their aspirations by making them try to buy the tourism product or service. (Al-Kriti, 87: 2017)
