Developing hotel services means: It is the state of change from the lowest to the best that occurs in an intangible activity or performance provided by the hotel to the tourist for a certain price with the aim of satisfying his needs and desires and reaching the highest level of satisfaction without there being a transfer of ownership “(Prissem, 369: 2017).
The hotel industry is called the hospitality industry and is considered one of the prominent and influential industries in the economies of many countries in the world. The hotel industry is known as a mixture and coordination of inputs from material and non-material resources and converting them into outputs represented in a set of services provided by the hotel to its audiences in the target markets “(Al-Kahli, 93: 1998)
He also believes that “(Prissem, 317: 2017) hotel services can be developed through the use of social networking sites. The contribution of social networking sites to the development of hotel services appears in the following:
A- They participate in designing hotel and tourism services (Co-DESIGNERS) through collaborative tools for planning the trip (Collaboration Trip Planning Tools) These are technologies that allow customers to participate in making decisions related to the trip, as they allow the customer to participate in designing, coordinating and scheduling the trip program.
B- They contribute to the production of hotel and tourism services (Co-producers) as they participate in the production of information about offers and tourist destinations. They are the ones who produce original content on the network for others to view and comment on.
C- They contribute to the consumption of hotel and tourism services (Co-consumers) and the nature of hotel and tourism services makes it necessary for the tourist to participate with employees in order to consume these services;
C- They contribute to the marketing of hotel and tourism services (Co-marketers) by, for example, involving tourists in marketing a new service on social networks.
