The College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala is organizing an Awareness Lecture on Electronic Blackmail and the Scourge of Drugs

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala, Dr. Salam Al-Asadi, the scientific and administrative assistants, and a specialized security team from the Karbala Police Command, the Continuing Education Division at the college organized an awareness lecture entitled: “Enhancing awareness and security thinking in universities: to protect society in general and students from dangerous negative phenomena and contemporary challenges,” where the lecture addressed the dangers of electronic blackmail crimes and the scourge of drugs that threaten the security and safety of society.
The lecture was presented by the security team, which specialized in electronic blackmail cases, and included the departments of relations and media, community police, combating crime, and technology and information. The lecture focused on raising students’ awareness of the dangers of electronic blackmail and methods of prevention while highlighting the adverse effects of drugs on the individual and society and ways to confront them.
For his part, Dr. Salam Al-Asadi praised the role of security agencies in promoting security culture within universities, stressing that these activities contribute to building an aware generation capable of facing contemporary challenges, thus ensuring a safe and stable university environment.
