He is Talia bin Malkan bin Aber bin Arfakhshad bin Sam bin Noah, peace be upon them, and he is a person mentioned in the Holy Quran in Surat Al-Kahf as a scholar without mentioning his name explicitly in the Almighty’s saying in the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (So they found a servant of Our servants to whom We had given mercy from Us and had taught him knowledge from Us) Al-Kahf 65, and Moses followed him at the confluence of the two seas (Moses said to him, “Shall I follow you so that you may teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgment?”) Al-Kahf 66 Al-Khidr is sacred to many religions such as Christianity, Druze, and Judaism in many Islamic and non-Islamic traditions, and Al-Khidr is described as a messenger, prophet, saint, servant, angel, and guardian The sea and the secret knowledge landmark where the shrine of Imam Al-Khidr, peace be upon him, is located (32 km) south of Samawah Governorate on the left bank of the Euphrates River and Al-Khidr District was named after him. The number of visitors to the shrine is estimated at more than (100 visitors) on regular days, especially on Thursdays and Fridays of each week, while the number of visitors reaches more than (3000) visitors on March 21 of each year; where visitors come to it from all the central and southern governorates and even from outside Iraq as well. Then, on this occasion, visitors head to the shrine of Sayyid Muhammad bin Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, or the shrine of Imam Hamza, peace be upon him, in Diwaniyah Governorate.
