College of Tourism Sciences organizes a training course on awareness of the culture of electronic blackmail from a criminal and electronic perspective
The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a training course on awareness of the culture of electronic blackmail from a criminal and electronic perspective, with the participation of college students and graduates.
The course, delivered by Professor Shaza Kamel Nemah, included introducing participants to the concept of electronic blackmail, the legal classification of electronic blackmail in the Iraqi Penal Code, in addition to the adequacy of criminal protection against the crime of electronic blackmail.
The three-day course aimed to clarify the position of the Iraqi legislator in the Penal Code and how to confront it, the role of community police in combating electronic blackmail, as well as the social and psychological impact on the person exposed to blackmail.
The course concluded with a test for the participants to assess the extent of the benefit achieved from it.
