Two lecturers from the College of Tourism Sciences publish a joint scientific research in an international journal.
Lecturers Mohammed Abd Ali Jassim Al-Shaibani and Muthanna Faeq Al-Masoudi from the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala published a joint scientific research with Algerian researcher Prof. Dr. Heiba Tawal from the University of Djelfa, Algeria, in the Malaysian Journal “Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Environment Management (JTHEM)” entitled: “An Analytical Study of the Factors Affecting the Choice of Tourists for hotels (A Field Study of a Sample of Tourists Who Go to thr State of Kerbela – Iraq”. The research aims to identify a group of factors (purpose of visit, visitor’s concept of value, social and economic factors, race or religion) and their impact on the tourist’s choice of hotels. One of the most important results reached by the study is that there is a statistically significant relationship between the factors that affect the needs of tourist guests and the evaluation and choice of the hotel
