Tourism Promotion Strategies

There are four basic tourism promotion strategies that tourism organizations rely on, which are:

1: Attraction Strategy

The strategy aims to attract tourists and convince them to visit the tourist destination, so that there is an effective tourist demand. This strategy depends on widespread advertising that is directed to the potential tourist. Following this strategy results in increased agreement on advertising, especially widespread media such as satellite channels. The importance of personal selling is conveyed here…

2. Push Strategy

This strategy depends on personal messages such as personal selling and public relations to a large extent, as an attempt is made to convince tour operators to deal with the tourist destination and obtain confirmations of this deal. They, in turn, will promote the tourist destination to their agencies or other tourism companies. This strategy is followed for tourist destinations that do not have sufficient information in the market exporting tourists, and requires highlighting the characteristics and features of the tourist destination to tourism brokers abroad.
