Tourism training

Training is of great importance in the field of hotel business. When appointing individuals, they must undergo a training course so that they can perform the tasks assigned to them. As for old workers, it is necessary to subject them from time to time to a training period in the field of work (specialization, human relations or skills) (2). Training is defined as “a scientific and practical approach that seeks to achieve organizational goals” and is also defined as “the continuous organized process through which the individual acquires the knowledge, skills, abilities, ideas and performance required to perform a specific job or achieve a specific goal (3).

It is understood from this that tourism training is a series of successive procedures and operations based on a well-studied plan that gives workers new experience and expertise. It is a group of operations that give individuals development in skill and knowledge for the purpose of raising the level of performance in a way that achieves positive results for management and workers in this sector.

Tourism training in general and hotel training in particular is considered one of the most widely used strategies for developing human resources working in providing services to tourists, starting from the lower job levels and ending with leadership positions in this sector. Training consists of theoretical and practical educational rules provided to workers so that they are designed to create a state of professional strength and penetrate work sites and move to other sites after honing skills, acquiring experiences and obtaining information related to the tourism work system. The importance of tourism training lies in enriching the fields of trainees and expanding their awareness in a way that helps them think and imagine and gains them awareness, which enables them to discover the circumstances and effects resulting from behavior when providing tourism services (1).
