The Faculty of Tourism Sciences held a workshop entitled “(Ecotourism, the most important means of sustainable development and the green economy”), which was delivered by the assistant teacher Ali Tohma Hassan Al-Budairi and attended by the professors of the college.

And reached a set of guidelines that can be followed for the development of eco-tourism, the most important of which are:
1 – Environmental tourism should come within the framework of comprehensive sustainable development and green economy
2. Cooperation and coordination between the parties concerned and the determination of responsibilities is the basis for the success of the environmental tourism strategy
3. Integrating the local population into tourism activities, and qualifying national cadres is an essential element in the success of the environmental tourism strategy
4 – Follow-up and implementation of the procedures / legislation governing the eco-tourism industry as a basis for the continuous support of environmental tourism
5- Establishing financing windows and providing financial facilities in the implementation of environmental tourism projects
6 – Introducing ecotourism in the educational stages is necessary in instilling the concepts of ecotourism through generations
7- Organizing exhibitions and conferences on eco-tourism that supports the promotion and marketing process
8. Encouraging local citizens to set up small / medium-sized enterprises / industries as a basis for settling environmental tourism in southern Lebanon.
