President of Karbala University, Prof. Sabah Wajid Ali, inaugurated the Department of Travel and Aviation Services at the College of Tourism Sciences, in a new step aimed at enhancing academic education in fields related to the tourism and aviation sector.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif\">During the opening ceremony, the President of the University, Prof. Sabah Wajid, stressed that \u201cthe opening of this important department is one of the most important steps in implementing the visions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at improving the educational outcomes at our university.\u201d He added that \u201cthe College of Tourism Sciences is one of the leading colleges at the University of Karbala, and the Department of Travel and Aviation Services will play a pivotal role in providing the labor market with specialized human competencies in air ports, especially with the imminent opening of Karbala International Airport, which requires highly qualified professional cadres.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif\">For his part, the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Dr. Salam Al-Asadi, indicated that \u201cthe Department of Travel and Aviation Services represents a qualitative shift towards enhancing the college\u2019s position as a source of science and knowledge, and is the culmination of continuous efforts made by the college for a long time, in addition to a strategic vision aimed at keeping pace with the developments of the era and meeting the needs of the labor market.\u201d Al-Asadi explained that \u201cthe opening of the department came thanks to the continuous efforts of specialists who have a long history in building the general policy for the tourism sector.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif\">The opening ceremony was attended by a number of deans of the university\u2019s colleges, as well as lecturers and students,
