The holy Karbala Governorate is a corner that possesses diverse resources that enter into the production process as inputs in tourism activities to a large extent, starting with natural, human and material resources, as it is possible to make tourism activity the engine and leader of the economic development process in them, and the possibility of exploiting them correctly, and from here the importance of studying hotel organizations appears by exploiting the available capabilities, but these capabilities were not exploited to promote tourism activity and advance it alongside other activities in pushing the tourism development process, which negatively affected all other activities and this leads to a waste of economic and tourism resources due to the presence of some obstacles and lack of interest in the tourism, agricultural and industrial sectors. These negatives were represented in the lack of commitment to tourism plans for the sector in the entire governorate and the lack of necessary planning in other productive sectors.
For this reason, the research has specialized in studying hotel organizations in order to support tourism demand in the holy Karbala Governorate, by studying the most important indicators of tourism demand that reflect the extent of development of tourism demand currently and in the future, such as: the number of tourists, their average stay, the number of overnight stays and their average daily spending. Clear and important results and facts were reached that prove the validity of the study hypothesis by relying on data obtained from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities / Tourism Authority and also the Ministry of Planning / Central Organization for Statistics and Information Technology, as the results showed that there is a bright and developed future in the holy Karbala Governorate due to its possession of diverse tourism components, in addition to the fact that the study concluded with a set of recommendations in order to advance the tourism future of the governorate.
